Ashlaren puppies ready for December 2017!

Ashlaren Weimaraners are proud of the wonderful accolades we regularly receive from many new and old puppy owners who have one of our Weimaraners. If you are looking for a Weimaraner to be part of your life and are prepared to welcome a dog with an incredible temperament, lots of intelligence, is athletic, loves everyone especially kids but is also a good watch dog, and plan to socialize and exercise with your companion Weimaraner, then this is the dog for you! Currently we have puppies available so contact Lainie to discuss if a Weimaraner is right for you. Puppies are available to go to their new homes in December, 2017.

BIS Weimaraner National May 2017..Ashlaren Jumayah Of Oz (Indy).jpg sitting photo.jpg

Ashlaren Weimaraners are the proud breeders of Back to Back Australian Weimaraner National Best in Show winners at the last two Nationals. Following our 2014 National BEST IN SHOW win with Aust Ch Ashlaren High Calibre, we again bred the 2017 Weimaraner National winner - Ashlaren Jumayah Of Oz, handled to this great win by our 11 year old grandaughter, Lauren Stock. The judge for our 2017 National which is held only every 3 years, was Mrs Gerda Halff-Van Boven from The Netherlands. At the 2017 Weimaraner National, we also bred PUPPY IN SHOW (Ashlaren A Touch Of Vintage AI), NEUTER IN SHOW (Ch Ashlaren Lulu Loves To Limbo), Reserve Challenge Dog (Ch Ashlaren Archibalds Illusion) as well as achieving Excellent gradings with many of our other dogs shown at the National.

Eva winning her Supreme Ch title Jan 24th 2015.jpg

Supreme Ch Ashlaren Diamonds Are For Eva followed up her new title by being awarded Challenge Bitch and Runner UP Best of Breed at the 2015 Sydney Royal Easter Show. Last year she also won Challenge Bitch at Sydney Royal, Australia's largest dog show, from a strong entry of Weimaraners. Eva has been mated to Am Gr Ch Aust Supreme Ch Pike's Peak Rocky Mountain High (IMP USA), so it is with much anticipation that we await the arrival of puppies from these two SUPREME CHAMPION Weimaraners!!

Aust Ch Ashlaren Rock A Guy Baby (Roxy) is definitely rocking a lot of judges!

Ashlaren Rock A Guy Baby at 8 months (Roxy).jpg

Roxy (pictured at 8 months) is owned by Bev Quinlan of Greyghost Weimaraners, Queensland. Bev is having a lot of huge wins with young Roxy whose father is Am Gr Ch Aust Supreme Ch Pike's Peak Rocky Mountain High (IMP USA) and out of Ashlaren Iva Thing For Ivy. Roxy at only 8 months has attained Aust. Championship title....an incredible achievement for a young puppy! Roxy is currently No 1 Gundog Rising Star in Australia (DOL point score) . Congratulations Bev!!

Ashlaren Weimaraners - Breeders of the 2014 Weimaraner National Best in Show winner from an entry in excess of 220 Weis!!

2014 has been a wonderful year for Ashlaren with our home bred Aust Ch Ashlaren High Calibre - Callie- owned and exhibited by Tash Turner, being awarded the very prestigious honour of AUSTRALIAN WEIMARANER NATIONAL BEST IN SHOW winner, from a huge entry of 220 Weimaraners from all over Australia and NZ. Last year Callie won Overall Weimaraner of the Year (NSW Weimaraner Club Point Score - ie nominated shows throughout the year attended by many Weimaraner exhibitors hence the competition amongst quality dogs is always excellent). The new home of Ashlaren Weimaraners is on 110 picturesque acres at historic Cobbitty, near Camden. It is also the home of Ashlaren Angus and Square Meaters Beef stud cattle. We can vouch for the mouth watering tender organic beef we are now producing! With our interests in overseas travel, judging assignments everywhere and our involvement in the local Pony Club, our stud cattle along with several cows due to calve soon, life is never boring! Hence we do not have much time to devote to showing our dogs lately so have to rely on many other handlers here and interstate who have the pleasure of showing our Weimaraners and doing exceptionally well with them! In Europe our boy multi Ch Ashlaren Howzat Harry is winning Group 1 awards in Germany under FCI competition. Congratulations to owner Cobus Meyburgh of South Africa and to Harry's handler Paulina Walkowsa of Imperium Star Weimaraners of Poland on Harry's many impressive wins whilst in Europe. Good luck at the World Dog Show in Finland in August, 2014!!

Our recent litters....

1-Kira pups at 4 and half weeks.jpg

Our babies from beautiful Kira (Aust Ch Carnmellis Ramira Ashlaren IMP NZ) are 4 and half weeks old in this photo taken with the Jeacle family from Sydney. From this lovely mating to Ch Waldweise Cos I Can, who hails from South Australia, we kept a female who at just 7 months of age, is a Runner Up Best in Group winner and class in Show winner! Her name is Ashlaren Nic Nac Patti Wac (Patti) and she has now beaten the 2014 Australian Weimaraner National winner - whom we also bred - on three occasions from her early days in Minor puppy class!! Thank you Tash for showing Patti for us whilst we enjoyed a European summer this year!

Meanwhile Bella had 9 Christmas babies in Wollongong....

1-Bella x Arnie babies Christmas 2013.jpg

. A big Thank You to our good friends, Hank and Eva of Wollongong, for whelping Bella's 7 girls and 2 boys on Christmas Eve, 2013. They enjoyed this wonderful experience for the second time in about 20 years and are doing an excellent job rearing this very large litter. The sire of this litter is Arnie, (Ashlaren Mark's Arnage) who recently sired another large litter of 12 babies in Victoria for Silversheen Weimaraners. Bella's dam is our Multi Best in show winner, Aust/NZ Ch Ashlaren Sophie Sapphire who has proven to be one of our top brood bitches at Ashlaren. All our puppies from our recent litters are spoken for and we will not be having any litters until later this year but you are welcome to email us to be added to our waiting list.

Multi Ch Ashlaren Howzat Harry wins Best of Breed in Germany aged 16 months!

Harry 17 mths and Paulina.jpg

Harry was exported to Cobus Meyburgh in South Africa and is currently on secondment to Paulina Walkowska who is campaigning Harry in Europe. Following in the footsteps of our dear boy Multi Int Ch Ashlaren Caipiroska, Harry has already notched up impressive wins in both South Africa and now in Europe. Harry turned 12 months in August 2013. His mother is Multi Best in show winner - Aust/NZ Ch Ashlaren Sophie Sapphire. Harry is sired by Ashlaren Marks Arnage and Harry's litter siste (Ashlaren Iva A Thing For Ivy) won 2013 NSW JUNIOR of the YEAR (Weimaraner Club of NSW point score.) Good Luck in Europe this year Harry and Paulina!

Multi Baby in Show winner - Ashlaren Million Dollar Gem at 16 weeks

1-Gemma Baby in Show x2 plus Baby in Group x 3 July 2013.JPG

Gemma has certainly turned heads with her multiple Baby in Group wins and Baby in Show wins at just 16 weeks of age. She is proudly campaigned by Amy Page (Qld) along with Ashlaren Josephine who is well on her way to her Championship title and although only in Puppy class, Josie is winning against strong bitch line ups.

Our young grand daughter Lauren Stock, only daughter of Rachel and Greg Stock, has begun her show handling career, just like her mother Rachel did when she was a child.

Lauren has always shown exceptional affinity with dogs from a very early age and an especially  keen interest in our Weimaraners. She has been eagerly anticipating the day when  she could officially show dogs once she turned 7 years old.

As from 7th August 2012, Lauren can now officially enter the show ring and handle our dogs. Every show we go to is a great learning experience for her, not only with our chosen breed, but grandmother and All Breeds judge Lainie loves to teach Lauren about all the different breeds of dogs and what they were originally bred for....Lauren is like the proverbial sponge in her thirst for knowledge in all things relating to canines!

Lauren is a NATURAL when it comes to dogs and will be a great asset to our show team in the future.

Congratulations to another Mark daughter on her new title

1-Connie (Ashlaren Mark Of A Connoisseur CCD) July 2010.jpg

Ashlaren Mark Of A Connoisseur ('Connie') is another home bred success sired  by Multi International Ch Davora Bremar Mark of Ashlaren (IMP CANADA). Connie has just acheived her first title which is Community Companion Dog (CCD), the first step in obedience titles. Her proud owners - Jacques and Alison Menil of Newcastle NSW - are keen to progress to her next Obedience title and with the high scores Connie attained in her first title, there should be no problem in achieving more titles in the future.

CONGRATULATIONS Connie, Jacques and Alison on this new achievement!

Meanwhile Jacques is training 'Pru' -  (Ashlaren Just Pretty Pru) -  for her field work competition and will soon be entering Pru into Retrieving Trials. (see photo below)

Ashlaren Mark Of A Connoisseur (Connie)

Connie is being trained for field work by Jacques Menil of Newcastle.

Jacques is more than impressed with Connie's progress and willingness to hunt. Meanwhile, she is starring in the trialling ring with a first place (97 pts out of a possible 100) against 18 competitors in  her CCD trial held in Newcastle recently.

Below Connie follows a command from Jacques!
